Tours and Shadowing

Group Tours and Student Shadowing experiences are offered in the winter / early spring to help prospective students and families get a glimpse into the daily operations of our school.  We are not able to accommodate individual requests.  

Family Tours

Please note that Hidden River Middle School will be moving in January back to our beautifully remodeled home.  Tours will be offered in November and December at our temporary location on Albert Street, and tours scheduled after January will take place at 1700 Summit Ave.

Student Shadowing

In lieu of the 2026 Shadow Experience, the Hidden River Middle School Counselors will offer Counselor Connection Visits. Through these visits, prospective students and their families can meet with a grade level counselor to learn about Hidden River and what to expect prior to attending school with us. Families can email the counselors directly (barbie.woodrufff@spps.org or ayoub.nigatu@spps.org) to schedule a Counselor Connection Visit.

Please join us on January 29, 2026 for the official Open House in our newly renovated Summit Avenue building. Community members and Hidden River families can walk through, see the new school, meet school staff, and learn about Hidden River.
