Staff Profile

Hello! My name is Abbie Kaufenberg, and I teach Health at Hidden River. I've been part of the Hidden River team since 2023. Before Hidden River, I taught 3rd grade (classroom) and PreK-5th grade P.E. at L'étoile du Nord. I also taught French at Stillwater Middle, Stillwater High School, and St. Paul Conservatory of Performing Artists. 

I'm from Stillwater and currently live there with my family. I have two kids, Felix and Claire, a dog Teddy, and some chickens. I love gardening, sewing, and taking classes like ballet classes.

I love teaching Health because I believe it's a very important class where students will develop and refine lifelong skills. The goal is for students to have the skills to live their best lives.
