Staff Profile

Hi! My name is Ms. Ousley (she/her) and I teach American Studies at Hidden River. I believe that in studying history allows us all to be compassionate, empathetic, and justice-oriented people. In my class, we lean heavily into art, poetry, and music in order to understand the perspectives of people who lived through the themes we study. 

I am originally from Northfield, MN and have been living in St. Paul since 2017. I had formative experiences attending high school in Makhanda, South Africa as an exchange student and college in Montréal, Canada at McGill University. I love gardening, cooking, and watching sports.
