I have been in education since 2011. Currently, I am the On Track (OT) Math and Genius Squad Teacher. As well as the iPad Support Tech at HRMS. Outside of SPPS I consultant for Coherent Math Consulting. I have also been a District Math Coach for SPPS and Anoka Hennepin Schools, Middle School Math Teacher at Farnsworth Aerospace Upper, and an Educational Advisor Student Achievement Partners. My passion is writing culturally relevant math curricula with themes of social justice. I have spoken at the Council of Chief State School Officers (CCSO) and presented at multiple National Council of Teachers of Mathematics (NCTM) and Minnesota Council of Teachers of Mathematics (MCTM) conferences. I also am a lesson author in the Corwin publication Middle School Mathematics Lessons to Explore, Understand, and Respond to Social Injustice.
Outside of my profession, I am a daughter, sister, auntie, wife and mother of two. My husband and I married in June 2013. My husband and I were blessed with our son, Sawyer, in October 2014, and our daughter in June 2016. My children keep me very busy with their active lifestyle. I love nothing more than to enjoy time with my family, coach basketball, travel, and I take pleasure in being outside during the Spring, Summer and Fall months.
